Lunchtime Music in March
The series of lunchtime concerts at Woodbridge Library continues in March with a performance from the Shingle Street Folk Band. The band is a group of four local singers who have been entertaining audiences in the Suffolk Coastal area for the past five years. They are all experienced choral singers as well as enjoying singing and playing folk music. Their repertoire ranges from the traditional to the modern, songs from both sea and land and from these islands to more distant shores.
They will perform on Tuesday 21 March in the Library from 12.45 to 1.30pm. Attendance is free of charge, although donations to the work of the Friends of Woodbridge Library (FOWL) will be welcome. FOWL is currently saving up to help the Library to refurbish its tremendously popular children's area.
The Band's members are Stephen Harding (guitar), Peter Taylor (mandolin), Jane Burn (violin and accordion) and Christine Pearce (percussion and dulcimer). Recent performances include the Aldeburgh carnival, Sutton Hoo and the Leiston Long Shop. They promise us delightful music and beautifully blended harmonies. Do join us!
