BREDFIELD BOWLS CLUB

BREDFIELD BOWLS CLUB

The bowls club has been part of the village for many years and is located adjacent to the village hall. Lawn green bowls is a sport for all ages, sex and physical ability, all you need to start with is a pair of flat soled shoes and the enthusiasm to “have a go”.

The club has a selection of bowls or woods which newcomers are welcome to use to try out the sport, all we ask is that if you find you like the game and wish to continue then you either purchase the “loan” woods from the club or purchase a set elsewhere.

Then once you start to play league a pair of flat bowls shoes are required in order to keep the greenkeepers happy.

The club also play in our own dedicated coloured shirts which will be supplied on becoming a member, along with club badges which can be sewn on to any other white garments like sweatshirts or fleeces for use on cooler evenings.

In addition to the chance to play bowls on our superb green the club also has a well stocked bar at extremely competitive prices which is open after every game and during the tournaments which are currently held three times per year.

Currently Bredfield are registered to play in four evening leagues from Monday to Thursday inclusive so there is every opportunity to play as often or as little as anyone wishes.

The club welcomes new and experienced bowlers alike and the current membership fees are:

Full league playing membership.   £50 pa

Social membership non league. Play in friendlies and tournaments.  £25 pa

Junior membership - under 18 – full league playing.  £20 pa

Social membership - non playing.  £5 pa
