The ceremony was organised by Suffolk Association of Local Councils, in conjunction with Community Action Suffolk, and was to recognise communities and individuals in the county that have contributed and improved the quality of lifeacross the length and breadth of Suffolk. There were 13 awards, from young person of the year to community building, to most active communities and village and town of the year. Bredfield won the award for Small Village of the Year. The judges were impressed with the wide range of community activities, and the evident good community spirit. This is a prestigious award, and everyone in Bredfield should be proud of this, particularly those who do something extra, in either organising or ‘doing their bit’ to make our village a great place to live. The brass plaque will initially be displayed in the Village Shop until a permanent home can be found Thank you David Hepper Chair – Bredfield Parish Council
